”I’m writing from a MedTech MSc research group at King’s College London. We’re evaluating a wearable cooling device designed to provide immediate, non-hormonal relief from menopausal hot flushes. By supporting this study, your organisation would be helping generate much-needed real-world evidence for non-hormonal solutions, whilst giving your community direct access to a promising new option.
A few quick details:
What participants will receive: A free, CE-marked, on-the-market cooling device worth over £150 to use during the study and keep afterwards, with the potential for meaningful symptom relief.
What’s involved: A 6-week remote trial measuring symptom interference, usability, and overall experience. Participants will also have the option to join a focus group in July, where they can share their views on what a next-generation wearable cooling solution should look like.
Credibility and safety: The study has full ethics approval, is supervised by Professor Prashant Jha at King’s College London, and participant privacy is a top priority throughout.
We’re looking to recruit 50–100 women and aim to begin in late May, so any support in spreading the word would be invaluable.
Organisations that support our recruitment efforts will receive a summary of findings upon completion.”
