Workshop 1

In this first session we will be exploring colour, texture and material. A wide range of colours, fabrics and tactile materials will be provided for you to play with and respond to creatively.

Together, we will build a large collaborative mood board which will directly inform the creative direction of the production – including costume design, set colours and lighting choices.

This mood board will become a key reference point for the creative team and will continue to influence design decisions for each scene as the production develops.

There is a transition across the play where each of the characters experience different symptoms, emotions, failures and triumphs. It would be fantastic to gather how you would like to see those represented.

We will also include a scene reading and opportunity for group feedback as part of the session.

This is your opportunity to help shape how menopause is seen, felt and represented on stage.

Don’t worry – no previous experience is needed!! You don’t need to be “creative” or have any background in theatre or design, just bring yourself. You are also very welcome to simply observe, listen or chat with us about the process if that feels more comfortable.
