We all know that a good nights sleep can make the world feel a little brighter but during menopause restful nights can be harder to come by. Hormonal changes can bring night sweats, insomnia and restless sleep leaving us feeling drained, low in mood and struggling to focus.
Prioritising your sleep health isn’t just about feeling less tired – it’s about supporting your mental wellbeing, immune system and overall quality of life. The right habits, routines and practical tips can all help to make a real difference to your overall sleep health.
To help support you in this new sleep hygiene routine the charity Hope2Sleep (Charity No. 1168089) have held a Menopaus’ull sleep awareness session to highlight the importance of quality sleep and is packed with simple yet effective strategies to help you sleep better during menopause.
This local charity has been raising awareness and giving free support since 2009, and have provided a workshop full of advice and tips on sleeping well. Kath Hope, the Founder and CEO of the charity will speak about the link between menopause with snoring and sleep apnoea, and how many of the symptoms may be due to this, including insomnia.
