Feeling a of loss of joy during the menopause?

Have you found yourself feeling low? Are you putting off simple tasks that you would have once done without thinking? Are you searching for motivation to get things done? You could be suffering from low mood and is a very common symptom of menopause. So many menopausal symptoms come back to lack of motivation and low-self esteem. These can lead you to stop doing the things you enjoy and can then in turn lead to lower energy levels and a further drop in your feelings. Read on to find out how these symptoms can help to be combatted.

1

Exercise and movement

Find some form of exercise that you enjoy. It doesn't have to be strenuous but finding something fun and relaxing can be so beneficial to both your body and mind giving you a much needed boost.

2

Relaxation

Take some time out with some yoga, breathwork or meditation. Take yourself away from the everyday stresses and plan time to think about yourself and your needs. Relieving stress can help the brain function much more clearly.

3

CBT

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy can help you to re-train your brain and help you to focus on the positive aspects of your life. CBT can challenge negative thinking and help you break out of the vicious circle.
