Tingly and itchy skin during the menopause
Parasthesia, which is a tingling or burning sensation and sometimes numbness of the skin, can be experienced during the menopause. Hormonal changes within your body can affect nerve function and lead to these sensations in your body.

What causes these strange sensations?
|

As estrogen levels decline these can affect the nerve function and blood circulation leading to tingling, numbness or burning sensations.
|
|

Menopausal women may be at a higher risk of vitamin deficiencies such as B12. These deficiencies could cause neurological symptoms such as Parasthesia.
|

These most common menopausal symptoms can lead to changes in blood flow and regulation which may exacerbate the tingling or itching sensations
